Defying the misunderstandings surrounding
this integral part of the human experience

Grief, in all of its forms, is an unavoidable part of life. Unfortunately, conventional support and guidance offered by the psychology community often bullies clients into conforming to a prescribed and formulamatic process. In true application, there is no arbitrary designation of any grief timeline.

Changing the Conversation About Grief Management

Traditional grief counseling, whether in groups or in one-on-one personal therapy, structures therapy into a conformative container of expected phases and predicted behaviors. Psychology views grief as a problem to solve and situation to fix. Real grief is not like that. It is its own process that defies most forms of management. Nicole Parker-Adams, LMFT, leads the transformation of how we speak about, navigate, and integrate the human grieving process.
